ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marie Joy Caldwell is an Artist and Published Illustrator born and raised in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia. After graduating from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with her BFA, Marie acquired an Apprenticeship in Tattooing at Karmma Tattoo, Since then she has made a name for herself specializing in fine-line, detail-oriented and illustrative dotwork designs.

I may be biased as I’ve gotten two tattoos from Marie Joy Caldwell (@medusa.illustration), but if you want a tattoo that looks like it could be a storybook illustration, then she’s a must-visit. Her portfolio includes a wide array of pieces, from mythical creatures to landscapes to astrological figures. All of them share one thing in common: fine, crisp detailing.
